1. Jog Wheels & Tactile Controls
The AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ features full-size 206mm mechanical jog wheels straight from the CDJ-3000 setup, complete with physical feel-adjust control. For club DJs, this provides exact tactile parity with venue booths.
The Denon DJ PRIME 4 G2 upgrades to full-size 8.0" capacitive platters surrounded by 60-RGB LED position rings. These displays provide immediate visual feedback on Stem activation and playback position without relying solely on screen viewing.
2. Performance Pads & Live Stems Workflow
The PRIME 4 G2 introduces MPCe multi-zone performance pads. These pads feature 3D sensing technology that detects both strike velocity and finger pressure, allowing a single pad to control multiple parameters, roll lengths, and dynamic effects simultaneously.
Combined with onboard 8-core hardware processing, the PRIME 4 G2 renders 4-stem track isolation directly on the unit. Instant Acapella and Instrumental buttons, Stem level EQ, and Stem FX let you create live mashups without needing a laptop.
3. Dynamic FX System & Built-in Lighting Interface
The PRIME 4 G2 features physical dual FX toggle paddles, dedicated Favorite FX memory buttons, Fader FX control, and 10 interactive Touch FX. It also includes a 3-pin XLR DMX output directly on the rear panel, running Engine Lighting and SoundSwitch onboard to control light shows without external dongles.
The XDJ-AZ brings classic DJM-A9 workflow directly into a standalone console, offering 14 Beat FX, 6 Sound Color FX, and the touch-capacitive X-Pad.
